We make our Organic and Fair Trade Certified™ clothes in a completely transparent supply chain.We know our factories, their suppliers and where our cotton is grown. Our products are Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. GOTS certification ensures that our cotton is truly organic and that every step in the manufacturing process complies with safety and environmental standards. Fair Trade Certified factories must adhere to rigorous social, environmental, and economic standards to protect the health and safety of workers. For every Fair Trade Certified product sold, Mightly pays an additional Fair Trade Premium directly back to the workers who make our clothes.
We know that a lot of companies say they use organic cotton and expect customers to just take their word for it. We believe that customers deserve proof, which is why all our products are certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). You can verify our certification status and even view our certified products in the GOTS public database.
What does Fair Trade Certified actually mean?
GOTS stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard. GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. GOTS certification ensures that the cotton Mightly uses is truly organic, and that it undergoes environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing. As raw materials and unfinished product proceed from cotton farm to cotton gin, and pass through the spinners, fabric mills, dye houses, and on to the final sewing factory, each step requires a GOTS Transaction Certificate to ensure GOTS compliance at every part of the process.
When we say "transparent" we mean that we not only have direct relationships with our factories, but we know which suppliers they use, all the way back to the farm groups that supply our organic cotton fiber.

Mightly uses cotton from Chetna Organic Farmers Association. Chetna is a farmer-owned nonprofit that works with smallholder farming families in three rain-fed regions of India: Maharashta, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. Since its founding in 2004, Chetna has worked with marginalized farmers to make farming a sustainable and profitable occupation. Chetna farmers do not use toxic chemicals to grow their cotton. The methods they use regenerate the soil and use 71% less water and 62% less energy than non-organic cotton farming.

Our quality commitment starts at the seed. The farmers who supply our cotton grow high quality, long staple organic cotton, which is perfectly suited to make our soft yet durable fabrics. In addition to using high quality materials, we have a quality control team on the ground that inspects our garments at various stages during the production process. Additionally, all production lots are tested for product safety to ensure compliance with CPSC regulations. Having said that, we're not perfect and occasionally a defective garment may slip through. That's why we have our 100 Day, 100% Happiness Guarantee. Just scan the QR code on the hangtag to register.
Our mission is to make sustainable children's clothing more affordable to more families, so we are very intentional about keeping our prices as low as possible. Because we manufacture our own clothing and sell directly to you, we avoid middlemen, retail markups, and the high costs of brick-and-mortar stores. You may have also noticed you don't see a lot of highly polished ads for Mightly, and that's because we invest in making great products, not making great ads!
Our fabrics are washed before they are sewn into garments and therefore shrinkage is minimal with at home washing. There may be 1/4"-1/2" shrinkage in the length and/or width, but no more than that.
